About Us

GLOBAL EVENTS. DEEPER CONTEXT. INDEPENDENT ANALYSIS.

Tal Shiar is an independent platform dedicated to understanding the political, military, and strategic forces shaping our world.

Founded by former all-source intelligence analyst Nadeem Iqbal, the platform brings an intelligence-informed approach to global affairs.

Nadeem spent more than fifteen years working across the U.S. intelligence and national security community. His professional experience includes assignments involving the Defense Intelligence Agency, Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy, Central Intelligence Agency, Joint Special Operations Command, and National Military Command Center.

That experience shapes Tal Shiar’s approach to analysis. Instead of viewing wars, governments, military developments, and political crises as isolated events, Tal Shiar examines the relationships between them: actors, interests, capabilities, geography, history, alliances, and consequences.
